Jamie has a background in sociology and cultural studies and has been teaching at various levels and in a range of environments for the past 5 years. He has experience with working in several education sectors including college level 16-24, apprenticeships, post compulsory education and adult learning. Jamie has an impressive track record in helping people into or return to the work.
Joanne Richards
Joanne RichardsOperations Director
Joanne’s background is in psychology, disability management and vocational counselling. She has extensive experience in assessing transferrable skills and developing bespoke career profiles and using cognitive behavioural therapy principles to support learning and planning for employment for people with mental health conditions and disabilities. Joanne has a proven track record in supporting clients and learners with self-esteem, confidence, motivation and in identifying suitable and sustainable career paths. She strives to help people to find work which they enjoy and that engages them. Joanne can also advise on reasonable adjustments and workplace ergonomics in addition to signposting to additional in-work support opportunities.
Peter Richards
Peter RichardsSales and Finance
Peter’s background is in sales and marketing, his experience includes liaison with large employers and recruiters and supporting in the development of career profiles and interview techniques. He has significant experience in the building and construction sector and has expertise in Health and Safety, industry-specific qualification requirements and project management. Peter oversees the financial operations and day-to-day delivery of our contracts.
Cassie Gavin

Cassie is Pathways to Work’s lead tutor and has helped vast numbers of people to improve their IT skills, develop CVs and gain confidence when applying for jobs over the past year. After 17 years teaching in primary schools across the North West, she has relished the opportunity to work in an adult learning setting that is helping people move closer to and into work.

Leslie has been a University and College lecturer for over 25 years. During this time, he has taught a plethora of different subjects and age groups. This ranges from PGCE, Management, English Language/Literature, Sociology, History, Skills for Life and Functional Skills. This incorporated various age groups, incorporating Secondary School and Post Compulsory learners.
Vicky Taylor

Vicky has worked in the hospitality and administration industries at many levels. She has also worked for government and councils. This varied career background, in the public and private sector, has equipped Vicky with a good understanding of different working environments and wealth of experience. She uses this knowledge to help candidates find the right fit for them in a career they will enjoy. Having taken that journey herself, Vicky understands how difficult it can be to find a job/career you can enjoy and thrive in. Vicky’s ethos is ‘If you love your job, you’ll never work another day of your life’ and that is her aim for all of our learners.
Peggy is qualified to Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce. She has extensive experience of supporting young people and families to improve their lives and of working with people from diverse backgrounds to overcome barriers to progression. With a professional background as a teaching assistant in a local primary school, an outreach and activities worker at Liverpool Children’s Centres and a residential childcare worker, Peggy understands the barriers that individuals and families can often face due to social or economic circumstances, access to education, disabilities or learning difficulties and she strives to provide a bespoke and individualised programme of support that will enable everyone to maximise their talents and realise their full potential. In addition, Peggy takes an active interest in local issues and volunteers for a housing charity by organising social events and contributing to their website and newsletters.
